The core mandate of this service is to transfer scientific knowledge of cocoa farming and business and entrepreneurial skills and certification training to members of the Association. This is achieved by providing theoretical information as well as practical field demonstrations to groups and clusters of farmers. We believe that this support is essential to ensure that the correct actions are being taken to achieve higher productivity gains.

All the training and extension services provided to members are based on research undertaken by the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG). For many years the research has focused on how to increase the productivity of cocoa.

Our training and extension services encourage sustainable cocoa production practices which increase yields and in return the quality of farmers’ livelihoods. The average yield of a member’s cocoa farm easily triples after a few years of membership with the Association.
